Privacy Policy

Who we are

SEO Dons Ltd ("we", "us") operates businesssolarcalculator.co.uk. For UK GDPR purposes, we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Company No. 16766013. Contact: info@businesssolarcalculator.co.uk.

The calculator collects nothing

The solar calculator on the homepage runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter — electricity spend, consumption, roof area, rates — are processed locally on your device, are never transmitted to us or anyone else, and are not stored anywhere. You can use the calculator with no account, no cookies, and no identification of any kind.

What we do collect, and why

Quote form. If you submit the quote form, we collect the details you provide: property type, approximate roof size or energy spend, postcode, name, company, email address and phone number. We use these to prepare and respond to your quote request, including passing them to a vetted UK commercial solar installer to produce your desk feasibility and proposal. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).

Email. If you email us, we hold the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for our records.

Form processing. Quote form submissions are processed by Formspree Inc., who act as a processor and store submissions to deliver them to us. Their processing is governed by their own privacy terms.

Hosting. The site is hosted on Netlify, whose infrastructure logs standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operations purposes.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. We do not add you to a marketing list when you request a quote. We do not cold-call — this site publishes no phone number and asks for yours only so an installer can discuss your quote, if you have requested one.

Retention

Quote enquiries and related correspondence are retained for up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted, unless an active project or legal obligation requires longer. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Exercise any of them by emailing info@businesssolarcalculator.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our handling of your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and amend the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
